The work

The Infinite Rendering opens Symbiogenesis / Residual Time, a body of work by Carlo Alfano and Dario Buratti as ArTech Team, presented for the opening of MAM in Rome. Across five minutes and five synchronised channels, a point of light becomes a network, a city emerges, and three presences inhabit the space. Generative sound fills the room before a cello enters.

The language

The narrative takes shape through simultaneous events across surfaces, following Reticular Cinema Immersivo: the network replaces the shot as the dramaturgical unit. The work explores Residual Time through the persistence, resonance and reactivation of form. The film fixes one possible state of a generative system defined by the artists.

Credits

Carlo Alfano leads direction, Storyverse, post-production and soundtrack. Dario Buratti leads the Systemic Direction and the generative grammar, with Residual Time as the theoretical grammar.
