Bio

Dario Buratti (Milan, 1965) is a generative artist and a theorist of computational art. Trained at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, he has worked as a digital designer since 1996: three decades with digital media that form the technical ground of his recent artistic research.

He builds works-as-systems that take place in real time. ResNet XX · The Geopolitical Sublime reads the global geopolitical present and transduces it into geometry, tension and void. Field of Truth · The Deferred State gives provisional interpretations of the news a visible afterlife: as new evidence enters, earlier readings persist beside the present. BIOMA · EchO, a generative system by Dario Buratti on photographs by Gaetano D'Agostino, listens to the living environment of the Amalfi Coast. With Carlo Alfano, as ArTech Team, he presented Symbiogenesis at the Visual Sound Wednesdays, Pasquino Art Center, Rome, and The Infinite Rendering at MAM, Rome.

His theory took shape in a 2026 series of essays in Artribune: the Work-as-System (January), Systemic Direction (April), a defence of aura in the age of data (June), Residual Time (September). He is the author of The Creator's Code and L'Opera-Sistema · Work-as-System (2026, Italian and English editions). He writes for Artribune, Notiziarte and ArTech Magazine; his method papers are deposited on Zenodo.
