The work
ResNet XX reads the global geopolitical present and transduces it into geometry, tension and void. Its field is the state of the world as a whole: the pressures, fractures, densifications and rarefactions that run through the present.
How it works
At every cycle a language model analyses the active geopolitical theme and extracts seven vectors normalised between 0 and 1. A grammar written by the author translates the vectors into form: five combinable rendering engines, a continuous soundscape, a spatialised synthetic voice. The system writes its Residual Code Poetry in real time, lines in a hybrid syntax of code and Italian built on eight resonance terms: stratificazione, pressione, frattura, addensamento, rarefazione, eco, traccia, soglia.
Direction
The rules that translate state into colour, form and sound are the author's decisions; the model executes them. It is the most direct demonstration of Systemic Direction: authorship lies in the grammar, and the outcome changes at every cycle.
In time
The work has no fixed duration. In the gallery it runs autonomously: when the direction console closes, the system takes over the cycle and keeps evolving without an operator.
Materials
The visual archive comes from a chain governed by the author: study of the project, stylistic decisions, prompts, generation, selection. The sound comes from Dario Buratti's own sound repertoire.
