Truth takes shape as a field in continuous reorganisation.
The artwork probes the information field, receives the news and evaluates its relations, convergences and contradictions, exposing the plausible truth that emerges from the available information.

Field of Truth: The Deferred State is an audiovisual generative installation by Dario Buratti. It probes a changing field of international news, receives and evaluates it, transforming it into a continuously evolving composition of images, language, colour, motion and sound.
Its central response, the Plausible Nucleus, emerges from an interpretation of the tendency expressed by the information available at that moment. Even a limited field can produce a tentative synthesis; broader, more independent and convergent evidence increases its degree of plausibility.
The work keeps contradictions, a contested zone and an undetermined residue visible: everything still awaiting stabilisation, verification or inclusion in the present reading.
A first synthesis emerging from a limited information field.
ψ .18–.32A direction becomes readable across several independent signals.
ψ .33–.43Cross-source convergence supports a provisional interpretation.
ψ .44–.65Stronger convergence is joined by documentary support and source diversity.
ψ ≥ .66A system designed by the artist creates a field of creative possibilities transduced by real-time data flows.
Observe
Every ten minutes the system reads recent coverage associated with eight contemporary fields. A secondary channel preserves continuity when a source becomes temporarily inaccessible.
Compare
Sources are deduplicated by domain. Claims are clustered and evaluated through independence, documentary support, convergence, contradiction and accessibility.
Synthesise
A local Qwen3-8B language model formulates the most plausible current tendency while remaining bound to the observed evidence. Confidence changes with the strength of the field.
Transpose
WebGPU computation, images, text, sound and interaction become a single temporal composition. The code acts as the executable grammar of the artist's systemic direction.

The system follows subjects with sustained public relevance and enough internal tension to resist a single definitive account.
